Dean Brown (born 1955 in France) is a jazz fusion guitarist. He has a long career as session musician. Guitarist, Composer Dean Brown has been one of the most sought-after "A-list" guitar players for both recording and tours and an integral part of the global electric jazz and fusion scene for the last 25 years.
With a credit list of over 100 major artist recordings (Including four Grammy® Award winners) and tours worldwide with Marcus Miller, David Sanborn, The Brecker Brothers, Billy Cobham, George Duke, Bill Evans, Victor Bailey, Vital Information, Kirk Whalum, Bob James, Roberta Flack and his own groups among others, Brown is best known for his soulful and dynamic live performances.
His performances include Live DVD's with Billy Cobham, Marcus Miller, Gil Evans, David Sanborn and Friends, Louie Belson, Bob James and two DCI instructional DVD's with Steve Smith's Vital Information.
He has appeared with David Sanborn on NBC's "The Tonight Show", in ABC's "After New Years Eve Special" featuring David Sanborn, Eric Clapton, D'Angelo, Marcus Miller, Gang Starr and Cassandra Wilson with an all-star band, Roberta Flack on A&E's "The 4th of July with the Boston Pops Ochestra" as well as in a one hour special with George Duke on the BET Jazz network and many other television appearances at home and abroad.
Brown has released two solo CD's titled "Here" and "Groove Warrior" on the ESC Label.
