Jack's songwriting skills really matured on "De Stijl", probably as a result of the breakup with Meg."Truth Doesn't Make A Noise" in particular is one of the finest songs he has written so far. It represents a marked improvement over "The White Stripes". I have a question how could this be recorded after it was released. I think the fact box is wrong.

according to this page the album was released before it was recorded. Released June 20, 2000 Recorded January 2001

so if anyone knows the actual release and recording dates they should fix this (I assume they are opposite of what they should be)--Tainter 06:50, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
