De cape et de crocs is an ongoing French comic book series, created by writer Alain Ayroles and artist Jean-Luc Masbou. The first volume Le Secret du janissaire was published in 1995, and so far seven volumes have been released by editor Delcourt.
XVIIth century. Don Lope de Villalobos y Sangrin, a Spanish wolf, and Armand Raynal de Maupertuis, a French fox, are two gentlemen of fortune who happen to stumble, one day, on the map to a treasure which will send them exploring the mysterious seas of the south and, ultimately... to the moon itself.
A hilarous swordbuckling animalistic and historic fantasy, full of references to French classics like Cyrano de Bergerac or Molière.
