De Havilland Gipsy

The de Havilland Gipsy was a British air-cooled 4-in-line aircraft engine designed by Frank Halford in 1927 to replace the de Havilland Cirrus in production. The cylinders were 4.5 in × 5 in (114 mm × 128 mm) for a displacement of 319 cu in (5.23 L). Power was rated at 98 hp (73 kW) at 2,100 rpm.

- Gipsy II - stoke increased to 5.5 in (140 mm). Power 120 hp (90 kW) at 2,300 rpm
- Gipsy III - as Gipsy II, inverted
Further development took place as the Gipsy Major and Gipsy Six.
