[edit] Edit Summary Request
I have noted that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Kukini 21:52, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Good point. I'll be more careful with summaries in the future.
I was thinking it was obvious, since the diffs are generally self-explanatory. But, of course, if you don't look at the diffs, and just read the summaries, the fact that the diffs are obvious isn't really helpful. I was also thrown off because most of the edits I've done have been section edits, where the edit summary comes filled in already, so I thought maybe that's what it was meant to be in such cases. I'll be more careful in the future. -- Deven 12:59, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
