Hi,Wow I'm the first one writing a message here :) I have a comment about your edit in the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia article. You changed "Cilicia was conquered by the Arabs from the Byzantine Emperor" to "Cilicia was conquered from the Arabs by the Byzantine Emperor". But then, it says that the Byzantine Emperor "expelled the Muslims living there, and Christians from Syria and Armenia were encouraged to settle in the region". If, as you say, the Arabs conquered Cilicia back then, how could it be possible that the Byzantine Emperor expelled all the Arabs? Was it done in accordance to some kind of scorched earth policy? Thanks. -- Davo88 19:44, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re my edit of the "Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia" article.
Davo88, you ask "If, as you say, the Arabs conquered Cilicia back then, how could it be possible that the Byzantine Emperor expelled all the Arabs? Was it done in accordance to some kind of scorched earth policy?".
The simple answer is that I don't know. My edit was based on the contextual understanding of the sentence. In the same paragraph it stated that the Byzantine Emperor "expelled the Muslims living there, and Christians from Syria and Armenia were encouraged to settle in the region". In this context, it makes no sense that "Cilicia was conquered by the Arabs from the Byzantine Emperor". Rather, it makes sense th state that "Cilicia was conquered from the Arabs by the Byzantine Emperor".
