The fan art drawing that sparked the "Dragon Ball AF" .
This drawing is generally attributed to Akira Toriyama or someone at Toei Animation, though it was drawn by neither. Its actual provenance is unknown, though it is believed by many to have come from a Japanese (or possibly Italian) dōjinshi comic. No known web site has reliable information on the image's origin (as it is a work by an unknown fan who has not come forward to claim it), thus the copyright information below is the best that can be managed.
This image is of the cover of a single issue of a comic book, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher of the comic book or the artist(s) which produced the comic book cover in question. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of covers of individual issues of comic books help
- to illustrate:
- the issue of the comic book in question;
- the periodical comic book series of which this issue is a part; or
- the copyrighted comic book character(s) or group(s) on the cover of the issue in question;
- where no free alternative exists or can be created,

To the uploader: please add a detailed fair use rationale for each use, as described on Wikipedia:Image description page, as well as the source of the work and copyright information.
[edit] A Note from the Illustrator:
I believe it is time for me to come foreward, in a sense. I won't be giving out my name, as I'm not entirely sure my translator is typing this the way I want him to. I'm currently only twenty years old. I am from Russia. I am not of the Russian heritage, though. I am Italian in heritage, and my family speaks Italian. My translator, Robert Szanyl, is bilingual and has agreed to have his name here, for he is soon moving from Russia to America.
I drew this picture. I did not intend for it to cause such a stir. I apologize.
The AF is my initials. I thought it looked nice.
