Days of the New (also known as the "Purple album") is the fourth self-titled album released by Days of the New, with a tentative release date of 2007. Travis Meeks has stated that the record will be somewhat of a return to the basic sound of the debut, with less orchestration and ethnic instrumentation than the band's later material.

Several new songs have been either been played during tours or released on the band's MySpace page. However, some of these songs date back to 2003 and earlier. Dozens of titles of new songs have also been released, and it is unclear as to whether some of the songs will be tracked for the record or not.
