[edit] Graphics

I've figured it out pretty well by looking at your page in edit-mode. But how did you find out?--Anthony.bradbury 23:12, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fisher

Yes, I can expand that a bit. It's not labelled as a stub, and is indeed more detailed than a stub would be, so it's important not to annoy its original author. (note correct apostrophe usage).--Anthony.bradbury 17:49, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] battleships

Any comments to make on the articles I have done so far? HMS's Hector, Valiant, Defence, Resistance and Achilles, all of the Victorian period.--Anthony.bradbury 23:32, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Also now the Prince Consort series, Minotaur series and Research.--Anthony.bradbury 11:04, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] links

Hi. My PC has suddenly decided to underline all links, which it wasn't doing before. Any idea why, and how I can stop it doing so?--Anthony.bradbury 13:45, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Forget it, it stopped happening. A mis-load, I guess.--Anthony.bradbury 11:03, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] under construction

Is there a logo or template I can insert saying "article in course of preparation" or near equivalent?--Anthony.bradbury 17:22, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

OK, found it.--Anthony.bradbury 23:36, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Constitution

Excellent article. If you have time to go back and fill in the red links, could be put up for featured article status. I will look at Scapa.--Anthony.bradbury 10:56, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Also the article Politics of Indonesia has several red links and could probably be improved overall.--Anthony.bradbury 22:36, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
I have nominated Constitution of Indonesia for featured article status, but don't hold your breath!--Anthony.bradbury 23:41, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Supersemar

It was done when I was thinking about living in Yogya - and the state of the internet then. I am in australia with very good adsl, and so... I have the very strong image of my ancient compaq portable in Yogya in 95 and 96 and the near impossibility of ever getting a line if i was able!!! SatuSuro 16:48, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Not sure what you're talking about. Don't remember anything about moving vandalism from Supersemar. All I remember doing today was fixing up the spelling for Amirmachmud's name so that it can be linked to the biography of him that I finished today.Jakman 10:32, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Pranoto Reksosamudra's political stance? I think he's "Left" but Sukarno left (Nasakom) not Communist Left. You're spot on about Suharto labelling him a Communist and if you don't know already, Suharto has a grudge against Pranoto. As the story goes, Suharto was the Commander of the Diponegoro Division with Pranoto as his Chief of Staff. There seemed to be nothing wrong with these two until Pranoto decided to report Suharto's corruption to the Army HQ. Suharto was then removed as Commander and there was a chance that he was going to be expelled from the Army. Luckily for him, Suharto wasn't expelled, however he began holding a grudge against Pranoto. If you look on the internet, there's an article written by Pranoto telling of his account on 1st October, Pranoto actually supported Suharto in what he did. However, Suharto would turn around and arrest him in 1966. Thanks for the compliments about the Amirmachmud and M Jusuf article. Now I'm looking for Basuki Rahmat, but finding information about him is a pain in the butt. I got all the info I need on Basuki's involvement with 1st October and Supersemar but that's about it.Jakman 09:10, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

That's a good start. I'll write what I can about Basuki, and then you can fill in the blanks. Send me the scanned page to gooner_316@yahoo.com.au thanks. Jakman 22:01, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Userbox

Hi: thanks for that. I will insert it when I have finished counting all the brackets. Have you thought about inserting a few pictures in your Supersemar article of the main protagonists involved? And if you can do that, would you like to take a crack at adding photos to my battleship articles? Because I can't figure out how to do it!--Anthony.bradbury 16:35, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bahasa Indonesia

Well said about the use of "Bahasa" in English - I too find it patronising. The name for the language in English is Indonesian. Orang yang berbicara Bahasa Indonesia tidak menyebut Bahasa Inggris "language", kan? Quiensabe 18:12, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Expansion

Hi; do you feel like expanding Japanese Occupation of Indonesia? Someone should do it.--Anthony.bradbury 20:45, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kampung Keeling

That Jakarta Post artifcle on Kampung Keeling does look interesting. You actually lived there? I've only been to Medan once - stayed overnight in between travelling to Bukit Lawang (is that right? Orang Hutan place.) and Penang. I will try and incorporate some more info some where. thanks. --Merbabu 02:30, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gilchrist Document

Hi, I'm okay, thanks ;-) Well, I'm not really fully understand about the document and how it relates with other articles, except only about Sukarno. That's why my point is to support the merge, only to strengthen Sukarno's article. However, if this Gilchrist Document stands as one article, I will change my opinion. Don't worry. I am putting this article in my watchlist. Thanks. — Indon (reply) — 07:38, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hallo

Hi; Are you still wikying, or is the course taking too much of your time?--Anthony.bradbury 23:31, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kennel

I do indeed recognise both the picture and the article, which was a poor week thing at its inception compared to its grandeur now.--Anthony.bradbury 18:44, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

Dave: I have already asked a friend and a couple of admins, but the more, the merrier. I am going to be away for a week, and my user and talk pagres are a prime target for vandals, because of the amount of time I spend on NP patrol. Could you keep an occasional check, and if you see vandalism edits, revert them? WP:REVERT. Thank you. --Anthony.bradbury 21:41, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Indonesian elections

The reason for including the Constituent Assembly under parliamentary elections is that CAs are parliaments of sorts, and it would be a bit pointless and space consuming to have a separate section just for one election.

As for calling the section "parliamentary" elections, they are elections for the Indonesian parliament - a parliament is still a parliament whether there is an executive president or not. If you are still bothered, you can change it to "Indonesian legislative elections", but I think it's possible that more people understand parliamentary than legislative.

With regards to pendancy/pedantry, you are right. Although there are plenty of references to it on a Google search, it doesn't appear to be in the dictionary, so I will humbly admit I was wrong and change my userpage :) Number 57 21:17, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

I would go for a separate article for each election; even if it is just a table of the votes, a brief bit of info about the candidates, and the actions of the president/parliament during that term (many of the Israeli election articles I wrote are like this - see Israeli legislative election, 1961). With regards to Israeli relations with the Muslim world, it is a good idea for an article. There is a brief bit at Muslim world#Conflicts with Israel, but it could be expanded to full country-by-country piece - relations differ between almost all countries, from totally normal (Turkey), cold recognition (Egypt, Jordan, Mauritania), semi-recognition (Qatar), slight recognition and signs of acceptance (Saudi Arabia) to downright hostility (Iran - which was, prior to 1979, Israel's only ally in the ME!). [edit] The Prophet

Thank you. With the substitution of the word "peace" for "blessings", your comment essentially confirms my previously expressed belief (which I learned from you some years ago, in fact).--Anthony.bradbury 15:12, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
