User talk:David Foley

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi David. Are you able to tell us what book it was that talked about the town of Davido? It would be helpful to be able to quote some source. Thanks. --Scott Davis Talk 12:14, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

Sorry for the inconvenience my Wiki overlords. I swear to god that I have heard of a town named Davido, although its location and other details are a bit hazy in my mind. Thinking back, it may have come up in a conversation I was involved in whilst drunk, but nobody is perfect. I'm hoping you aren't going to delete my user page or anything? I'm currently working on it and after it's finished it will be fairly perfect, and worthy of being an article in my opinion. User:David Foley 22:49, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

I'm sure you feel you've made your point. Wikipedia has a guideline of don't disrupt Wikipedia to make a point. You've wasted quite a lot of time and effort of a lot of people, especially user:Cnwb's. You are welcome to try to enhance Wikipedia, but unfortunately now, any edits you make will be checked much more closely. Anything you add in the forseeable future is likely to be reverted on sight if it sounds even remotely unlikely. We are not "overlords", but feel genuine pride in the encyclopaedia we are producing, and articles such as Davido reduce that quality and credibility. --Scott Davis Talk 12:01, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
