[edit] Unsigned remark
Do you know the difference between vandalism and accurate comments on the lack of correct sources for the lies put on the Greek pages? I think not, you are just an idiot
your quickness to catch vandals is impressive, does that reflect another part of your life....minute man
[edit] Great work
Great work with the British council elections. A couple points: in general we only capitalize proper names in titles. For instance, for United Kingdom general election, 2005 we don't capitalize the word general or election. The same goes for council elections. Secondly we only really need separate results pages when the main article on an election is too long. Rather than have 2004 Rugby Council election results, why not just have a 2004 Rugby Council election article, that covers both the results and any information there might be on the campaign. I've gone ahead and moved some of them. - SimonP 19:52, 16 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Local elections
Can I try to persuade you to have a go at working on the big overall local elections pages like UK local elections, 2003 and UK local elections, 2004, many of which are incomplete/don't exist. Morwen - Talk 14:29, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Lytham St Annes
Dave, why did you revert to previous text?
Thanks for your comment about the Lytham St Annes page. I had a couple of problems with those edits I reverted, one was the remark about Blackpool being shabby which seemed completly unneccessary. The other was the statement about more and more younger families relocating here which I do not know of any evidence to back it up. I found this link to the population data from the 2001 census which shows the population is older than the national average. [1]. I don't think these statements should be in the article without some evidence to back them up. I have made an edit to the paragraph to try and soften up the language and would be interested in your thoughts. Davewild 07:32, 19 April 2006 (UTC) Dave, I think your amendments to my text were both unecessary and inaccurate. I have lived in Lytham for the past 32 years and your 2001 census data is now obviously out of date and should not be used for current observations. Do you actually live in the town?? Also, try to use a dictionary before submitting your comments.
I see that you have taken my edit out again and gone back to your previous edit on Lytham St Annes. I do live near Lytham St Annes, visiting often, and cannot see any evidence to back up your statement. As we do not seem to be able to reach agreement I have posted on Wikipedia:Third Opinion in the hope of getting another opinion to resolve this dispute. Davewild 17:47, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] West Lancashire Elections
Dave - I have created the 2006 West Lancashire election pages following the link from your main page. Good work there! I have made the error of creating the equivilent Preston page as an "overall" rather than splitting up the years, but Preston City Council elections is there for your viewing and comment.
doktorb | words 07:55, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for the reply. Your Preston elections page will be a helpful base to link to once, as you suggest, my page is split into years.
Thanks for the good luck too doktorb | words 09:10, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Preston local elections
Hey Dave - I have asked Preston Council for the results of the 1998 and 1999 elections so I should be someway to filling those red links on the local elections page =) doktorb wordsdeeds 12:00, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- Brilliant - cheers Dave. I know Preston Council and know it will take a while for them to send the results to me, but the moment they do I'll find time to post them on here. doktorb wordsdeeds 08:19, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Bristol elections
Thanks for editing my pages on Bristol elections. Can you do something with the Bristol North East page? I want to get a proper blue colour for the 'National Liberal & Conservative' candidates.

[edit] WikiProject World Leaders
Hey,
You and I have both been active recently in the WikiProject world leaders stuff, so I just wanted to A., see if you think we should remove it from the inactive WikiProjects to active ones again, and B., see if we could perhaps coordinate our work some. matt91486 15:53, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
- Alright, that sounds good. Personally, I'm going to continue working on Spain, and then my order will probably be Monaco and then some South American countries. I figure that will keep me occupied for quite some time. matt91486 18:52, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Islamic Courts
The Islamic Courts lost Kismayo on january 1st 2007. So actually, they lost power in 2007. I agree that they have lost their power at this moment.--Daanschr 10:01, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi Dave
Not sure if this is where this should go but I noticed that you had cleaned up a load of vandalism by this annonymous users. Just to inform you that I have reported this user on WP:ANI here [[2]]. Sorry very new to all this - i was trying to work out how to revert this users vandalism when I saw u had already done it. Erolz 10:26, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Question about RN situation
There's a group of Iranians POV pushing on the article you just edited. They're refusing to accept the Brits in 2004 had to give an apology, despite the fact they're ignoring articles that say that was the case - they don't have any that say they did so freely. I don't want to break 3RR, so could you give me a hand? John Smith's 12:26, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your contributions. I would appreciate it if you could keep an eye on the article. John Smith's 14:58, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A recalcitrant vandal
Hi Davewild. Appreciate your rev. at 09.19 25 March 2007 of "unexplained blanking" of article Telectronics. For info the user 124.168.16.206 who blanked the article is an IInet user of Sydney, Australia (IINet is a very small ISP) and is almost certainly the the same IInet user who, as 203.214.xxx.xx, has repeatedly edited Telectronics and its Discussion with unsigned unverifiable comments. At 09.17 25 March the same 124.168.16.206 also added unsigned comment to Talk:Telectronics with a heading "Jeffcoat and Trainor published liars", which to me seems to be libellous and possibly should be permanently erased. The same person created the bio article Noel Gray, a reading of which may be illuminating. He has also several times recently attacked the article Nucleus Limited, and my user page. I know the person from some 32 years ago so it is improper for me to revert his edits as I could be accused of violating WP:NPOV. If you would be prepared, as several other contributors are, to 'keep an eye' on the articles Telectronics, Nucleus Limited and my user page for vandalism or edits which do not comply with the rules & guidelines, it would be beneficial to Wikipedia.
