Thanks for your contributions! Good expansion. This one was marginal as a nom though, (it was almost not a stub before) mostly I took it for the neat pic. ++Lar: t/c 14:16, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I thought the same thing, but it still had the stub tag, so I figured what the hey, might as well submit it. Davepape 02:54, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Buffalo primary

Thanks for clarifying the bit about Helfer; you were right about the way it sounded. But I was confused when I originally edited the section and still am somewhat. Is the primary the precursor to a run-off, the way senators from Louisiana are elected? Municipal elections here are all nonpartisan because of the California "don't trust the politicians" mentality. :) Moulder 01:26, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] FPC Candidate (Siberian tiger)

A comment was recently posted by Samsara on the Siberian tiger FPC. It concerned placing the image in another article (see the subpage for the exact comment). I have now added the image to the stretching article, so you may or may not consider changing your vote (this is just to inform you of the change). Thanks. --Tewy 00:58, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Great Piggy Bank Robbery

I wonder if you know where the line "Ah loves dat man!" actually comes from. I know it's a line from "St. Louis Blues", but I am fairly certain it was connected with a black female entertainer of around the time of the cartoon, one of the Warner writers endless radio-and-movie references. Trouble is, I can't find out whose catchphrase that was. Any ideas? Wahkeenah 04:19, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Beautiful! In the back of my mind, I was thinking "Beulah", but couldn't find it somehow. And I had looked under that website (which is a great resource) but only under "I". Thank you! Wahkeenah 16:58, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Playboy Cyber Club Undeletion attempt

Thanks for visiting and contributing to my Burnham Plan page. I haven't talked to you in a while. You may notice I made another minor revision on Charles Wacker since we last spoke. I am in need of some openmindedness. I think I am making a valid request. If you get a chance, could you take a look here Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2006 November 12 and see if you would be willing to support an AfU. TonyTheTiger 17:17, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Brady Handy photos

Please avoid adding duplicate Brady-Handy photos when a higher res version can simply be uploaded over the older version. This can create confusion and is a bit of a waste of server space. Thanks. --tomf688 (talk - email) 01:38, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Sorry - much of it's handled by a semi-automated process to generate a consistent naming scheme and descriptions for the hundreds of files. The vast majority of the existing lower res photos that are duplicated are ones that are on en.wikipedia rather than commons (or have different source info and may not be exactly the same); Reverdy Johnson slipped past. Also, as the wikimedia software retains all past versions of an image, uploading a new one over the old one does not save significant space. --Davepape 04:37, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Frederick T. Frelinghuysen

Thanks for adding in the higher resolution image to the article. Do you want to weigh in which is the best name for the article? We have the full name or the truncated name. See: Talk:Frederick T. Frelinghuysen --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) 07:16, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Just found your image on the main page

Was very impressed by all your images and also noticed you contributed a lot of articles. You already have a brand-new barnstar, otherwise I might have given you one. Keep up the good work! --Ben T/C 17:04, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks - I'm a bit leery of the overfascination with barnstars, but I guess "it's the thought that counts". --Davepape 17:38, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
