[edit] Starry night
Hi Dave; I have left a message on the Starry Night talk page.--Anthony.bradbury 20:27, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ajax (band)
You're edit states: this article is clearly about a municipality and no one will confuse it with a soccer team. FYI, the article is about a musical band, not a city, thus "(band)" in the title. Cyberia23 05:38, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Someone put the same comment about the Ajax football team in every "Ajax" article on Wikipedia, and so when I reverted them I started copying/pasting my edit summary until I realized my mistake. Sorry for any confusion. Daveharr 12:25, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- No problem, I was just letting you know. Cyberia23 22:08, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Green big merge
Dave, by doing a cut'n'paste merge, you've made Green bin a copyvio, as it doesn't credit the contributors of the merged content. Please follow the merge procedure at Wikipedia:Merging and moving pages, and an admin can do a proper history merge which preserves the histories and contributor logs for both articles while producing a single one. Thanks. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 02:04, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

- No offense, but I don't see I haven't followed the procedure in Wikipedia:Merging and moving pages. It describes the process exactly as I have done. What should I do at this point? Revert the pages and then tag them for a merger? If so, the instructions should recommend that since they simply describe doing a cut/paste merger. Also, how is this a copyvio, given that both sets of content were created specifically for the purpose of Wikipedia. It's not as if I'm merging in content from external web sites. - After further reading, I see the problem more clearly, although I will again say that the merger instructions specifically say to do exactly what I did. What is the best road forward here? Should I tag "Green bin" for a history merge from "Green Bin"?
