[edit] Biographical Details

Petrivelli, David F (1982- ), American student of natural sciences and mathematics, specifically the field of astrophysics.

Born in Glen Ridge, NJ, on January 1, 1982, Petrivelli grew up in the bedroom community of Montclair, NJ. His early years were marked most notably by his facination with the world around him (according to some reports, his first word was "light", perhaps forshadowing his interest in electrodynamics). While he excelled in the sciences, he often struggled with mathematics, often missing assignments. He would later comment on his troubles by saying, "Math is the language of science. Now, I don't speak French. But I don't have to know every irregular verb conjagation to hear its beauty". Despite his computational shortcommings, Petrivelli excelled at logical and heuristic analysis of conceptual problems and thought experiments. Some reports have put his I.Q. well above 170, though Petrivelli admits he has never taken such an exam.

Petrivelli received marginal grades while attending Montclair High School, and felt unprepared for university studies. Coupled with his families financial woes, Petrivelli attended County College of Morris, in Randolph, NJ. While attending CCM, his grasp of scientific concepts in biology and chemisty, as well has his love of physics, granted him the oppertunity to tutor fellow students at the college's Science Resource Center. However, his struggles with mathematics kept him from receiving an Associate Degree in Math and Science. Growing tired of County College, and wanting to stretch his academic legs, Petrivelli applied and was accepted to Rutgers, The State University Of New Jersey. He currently has plans to persue a career in astrophysics research.

Petrivelli currently balances academics and his job at a local restaurant, in the city of New Brunswick, NJ.

[edit] Other stuff...

Yeah, so that was kind of a joke, I don't have an IQ of 170, I wish I did, but then again, the smartest people I know are also the most poorly adjusted individuals. I would join Mensa, but those people are elitist a-holes. As for my interests, I'm very interested in all aspects of science, mainly physics and astronomy, and the marriage of the two, astrophysics. However, I am quite interested in the concepts and principles of evolution. My FAVORITE arguments are with people who challange evolution in favor of "Intellegent Design" or creationism. The best postualte I ever heard durring one of these debates was that Noah, as commanded by the Lord, took two of every creature of the land, including dinosaurs. Yep. Noah, with an ark estimated to be anywhere from 450-1000 feet long (the latter being impossible due to structural weakness of wood), took 2 apatosaurii (and other sauropods), megatheria, as well as two of every one of the millions of species of insects. The reason there are no more dinosaurs or giant mammals, is becuase humans hunted them to extinction. Wow....
