Dave Gahan is currently preparing for his worldwide Depeche Mode tour with Martin Gore and Andrew Fletcher for their upcoming new album titled "Playing the Angel" which is due for release in October 2005. Please avoid using language like "received a mixed reception from fans" or "fans seemed to take to the new sound." Unless you have done a survey or can back up what you are saying, stick with the facts. As an actual fan of Depeche Mode and an active participant on various message boards and fan group, I can say for certain that fans are diverse in their opinions and there is seldom consensus.
