[edit] CSI:Miami crticism not objective
The CSI:Miami segment contains comments that are subjective. I would consider directly quoting (and linking to) critics from other sources rather than including them in such a way as to appear to be original wiki content. The statements are: "In this role Caruso has consistently earned the distinction of being perhaps one of the worst actors on prime time television. His dramatic posturing, glib comments and lack of character depth have gathered a following of fans who find this drama "one of the best comedies on T.V. (see James and Williams 2006)'" This would make it clear that it is a common criticism and not factual. --P06o 19:11, 21 February 2007 (UTC)Joel
[edit] South Park reference should be removed
There's no reason to mention South Park. Unless Caruso voiced a character on the cartoon, the cartoon is entirely irrelevant to *this* article. It's ok to mention Caruso in the article about the cartoon episode, but not ok to mention the cartoon in this article. There are literally hundreds or thousands of references to Caruso on TV, and it would absurd to mention every trivial little one of them. Fans of the cartoon, should stick to the cartoon article, and not insert nonsense into every article South Park happens to allude to. Are we also going to update George W. Bush with the nonsense from this cartoon? After all, I'm sure they've made references to him as well. But, guesse what, nobody cares. Cartoon fans look in cartoon articles, not in biographies of unrelated persons. --Rob 02:22, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- There are references less or better remembered; six years later I still remember this scene I saw maybe one time. This is not really about the cartoon anyway. Caruso ridiculed himself widely; the cartoon just expresses this very well; it is hardly "nonsense". 80.11.211.160 05:17, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- And I remember some hilarious jokes of George W. Bush, but shant be putting them in that article. All famous people have huge numbers of people, making assorted jokes about them. Its really no big deal. This is all worthy of inclussion in the cartoon article, which is read by cartoon watchers. It just doesn't belong here. --Rob 05:24, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- These analogies are interesting but erroneous. In politics, appreciation of someone's decisions and of their effect can vary according to the political views of the observer. Here, nobody questions that Caruso acted foolishly. And nobody tries to pour a full ton of jokes either; we talk about a single sentence. Stop trying to whitewash Caruso's past. Stop vandalizing this page. 80.11.211.160 05:36, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Read WP:NPOV and WP:NPA. --Rob 05:38, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Per WP:NPOV, facts are not points of view; the "factuality" of the sentence is unquestioned. There is no NPA problem either (I assume versus you) because I comment on what you are doing here, and not on what you do or are in general: you present invalid justifications for a censoring behaviour. 80.11.211.160 06:11, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

I agree with Rob. If every person satired in a Southpark episode had a mention on their respective page, Wikipedia would be full of them. Prometheus-X303-

- But every person satirized etc. DOES have the mention on his article. This is typical of Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that any moron can edit. 66.108.4.183 06:40, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

- I removed the South Park trivia. I've not seen the episode mentioned, but knowing what I do about South Park, I don't think any satire on the show is as specific as the section suggests.
*The first South Park animated series episode ("Cartman Gets an Anal Probe") satirically illustrates David's career after leaving NYPD Blue as falling flat on earth after jumping from a spaceship. Prometheus-X303- 00:50, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
A recent edit makes the reference much more clear: *In the first episode of South Park, ("Cartman Gets an Anal Probe") Kyle tells his brother Ike to "do your impersonation of David Caruso's career" to get Ike to jump out of a spaceship. PrometheusX303 12:45, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
L. Marquez doesn't belong to this list. They aren't married and she's a prostitute.
[edit] Trivia?
- Is the worst actor in hollywood.
Worthless
- In the first episode of South Park, ("Cartman Gets an Anal Probe") Kyle tells his brother Ike to "do your impersonation of David Caruso's career" to get Ike to jump out of a spaceship.
Also worthless
The entire "trivia" portion of the David Caruso article should be deleted

I don't think so. Caruso made a lot of mistakes that made him the butt of a million jokes. That belongs to him just like his 3 divorces and his uncanny behaviour towards women. Trivia should stay the way it is.
[edit] David Caruso
I know your a great actor as well a great man. I love your skills and the way you handle yourself on CSI miami. It would be a great honor to meet you some day. Keep up the great work you are doing. your also a great looking man. :) carol crites —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 63.3.0.130 (talk) 01:39, 24 January 2007 (UTC).
[edit] revision of "worst"
It's easy to believe that Caruso is either being directed or playing to camp. The assertion that he is "one of the the worst actors on television" is unsubstantiated. Removing it. 68.122.0.11 17:55, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] "one of the more humble and understated actors of his generation"
- Caruso is considered one of the more humble and understated actors of his generation[citation needed].
Puh-leez. I mean really. This nonsense should be removed until a citation can be found -- which will be never. Xandergr8 03:11, 20 March 2007 (UTC) Agreed. That's opinionated, and in my opinion, wildly untrue. "One of the worst and most annoying to watch actors of any generation" would be more accurate. Removed. Also asked for a cite to the "leading German publication".207.2.156.52 03:23, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Worst Actor
I'm adding this on the talk page because I don't know the markup to properly cite it, and I know someone will spazz out if I put it in uncited. David Caruso won the Worst Actor award at the 2004 TeeVee awards. Source: http://www.teevee.org/archive/2004/09/16/index.html unless 03:05, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
