Davis R. Ruark (born 1955 in Salisbury, Maryland) is the current State's Attorney for Wicomico County, Maryland. He graduated from Wicomico Senior High School and then attended Wake Forest University where he earned a B.A. degree in history. Ruark then entered the University of Baltimore School of Law, earning a Juris Doctor degree. He was admitted to the Maryland bar in 1981.

Ruark was initially appointed State's Attorney for Wicomico County in February, 1987, becoming one of the youngest State's Attorneys in the history of Maryland. A member of the Democratic Party, he has subsequently been elected on four separate occasions, without opposition.

As State's Attorney, Ruark has personally prosecuted many high profile cases, including death penalty cases. He is one of the few remaining State's Attorneys in Maryland to currently have an inmate on the state's Death Row, which presently has 6 members. Other high profile cases that he has prosecuted include the drunk driving case involving Michael Phelps, an Olympic gold medalist.

Ruark also serves on the Richard A. Henson Foundation Board of Trustees, having served as Chairman for two years. He is also Vice Chairman of Healthy U of Delmarva, Inc., a unique organization founded by Mitzi Perdue in order to promote healthy lifestyles on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
