Davidsonia jerseyana, or Davidson's Plum, is endemic to a restricted area of Northern New South Wales on the East Coast of Australia. The trees' fruit superficially resemble the European plum, but is not related. There are two other species of Davidson's Plum.
Davidsonia jerseyana, Davidson's Plum or Mullumbimby Plum, is a slender small tree, generally 5 m. high, native to lowland subtropical rainforests. It is considered an endangered species in the wild, but is widely cultivated for its' pleasantly sour fruit that is used commercially in jam, wine, ice-cream and sauces.
