Davide is an Italian surname.

The surname is distributed relatively evenly all over Italy and is likely of Neapolitan origin.[1][2] It also occurs in the Philippines though it is unclear whether the surname was brought to the country by immigrants from Italy or whether it has an independent history altogether.[3]

Davide is also wellknown animal used in fieldworks in north Italy. Animal looks like mixed donkey and ape. at least one of these animals is know so "educated" that he or it was able to drive a bicycle. After examin this individual they named it as Davide Rota because of its unique outlook.
