David Spedding

Sir David Rolland Spedding (March 7, 1943 - June 13, 2001) was Head of the British Secret Intelligence Service from 1994 - 1999.
He was educated at Sherborne public school and read history at Hertford College, Oxford. He joined SIS in 1967. He attended the Middle East Center for Arabic Studies in Beirut and was a specialist on the Middle East.
