David Sheldon

David Sheldon was a professional wrestler who wrestled as Angel of Death in the Jim Crockett Promotions. David Sheldon also wrestled for WCCW, N.W.A Mid-South and Stu Hart's Stampede.

He originally wrestled in California as part of a stable called Powerteam USA, which also featured a young Warrior and Sting. After the group's breakup, he followed Sting and Warrior to Bill Watts' UWF, based in Louisiana. It was here he started using the "Angel of Death" moniker.

Upon entering World Class, announcer Marc Lowrance identified Sheldon as this bald-headed wrestler, during the infamous Christmas Day Massacre angle involving the Freebirds, Fritz Von Erich and Gary Hart.

He worked as a midcarder in World Championship Wrestling and was considered as being Sting's nemesis, The Black Scorpion.

Sheldon's career came to an abrupt end in World Championship Wrestling when during a match, a 402lb. P.N. News did a top rope splash onto his leg and knees, breaking his leg. He's now working as a bouncer at a topless bar at Arlington, Texas.
