David Richmond (1748 - 1818) Major from Rhode Island in the American Revolutionary War.

Was born in Taunton, Massachusetts the son of Seth Richmond a Mayflower Descendant.
Married Nancy Davis in 1766.
Had five sons (Joseph, David, Thomas, Samuel and Seth) and four daughters (Lucy, Esther, Lydia and Nancy).
[edit] American Revolutionary War Record
From May 1, 1775 - October 1775 was a Lieutenant in Captain John Field's Company, Colonel Daniel Hitchcock's Regiment.
From December, 1776 was a First Lieutenant in Captain Timothy Vilmarth's Company, Colonel Chad Brown's Regiment.
Appointed Captain on September 30,1888 in Colonel Chad Brown's Regiment.
In the summer of 1780 he served one month and acted as a Major.

Major Richmond settled moved from Rhode Island and settled at Latham's Corners, Chenango County, New York.
