David Paul Hanson (born in Fargo, North Dakota in 1950) is an American musician and advertising executive.

He is a drummer and was founding writer of Overland Stage on Epic Records in 1972. He is currently president of H2M Advertising in Fargo, North Dakota, and is a member of a jazz ensemble, the Tatsuo Kato Group.
