[edit] Early life and education

David Paul Nicholson was born David Paul Joseph, Jr. in September of 1977 in Springfield, Massachusetts. His father, David Paul Joseph, Sr. was a machinist and army reservist that seems to have disappeared from mainstream society in the late 80's. Around this time his mother, Marilyn Elizabeth Hall (1955–Present), married Mark Randall Nicholson (1963-Present), stock manager at Namco. Between these two marriages it is believed there was a third, during which time David occasionally lived in Alabama. He may also have attended kindergarten there temporarily as well.

It was not until Dave (his preferred moniker) was 18 that he formally adopted his stepfather's surname of Nicholson. At this time the family actually went through the formal adoption process.

In East Windsor, Nicholson attended East Windsor Elementary School, East Windsor Middle School, and East Windsor Jr/Sr High School - where he was an active student leader, avid learner and reader, and math prodigy. It was at this time that David also began his philanthropy; being involved in charitable events at local churches and through various school functions.

It is believed that David spent time at the University of Connecticut before securing his Bachelor of Science from Southern Connecticut State University, with concentrations in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Business.

[edit] Important Work and Events

David's most prominent work has been with the American Cancer Society, where he has been a participant in their Relay For Life program at local Universities. David has captained the team Won't You Benign? as well as served as Online Chairperson to the event. His efforts have assisted in raising over $100,000 for the organization and their fight against cancer.

His specific reasons for being involved in the organization are unknown, but there are several theories about his grandparents that seem likely to be the spurning event... Sources quote him as saying

“My grandfather worked for the government in World War II as a scientist, researching counter measures for bio-medical weapons the allies believed the Nazis were developing. In his work he stumbled upon what he believed was the foundation for a cure, but he was killed shortly there after in a terrible fire, and his work was destroyed with it..."

and

"...Unfortunately I never really got to know them as people, never got to know them as anything other than Gram and Pop. I regret that so much, and I don't want anyone to have to lose someone before they get to appreciate them for who they really are..."

There have been sightings various social networking and Education Related sites put up in his honor, but no verifications if this is really him.
