David Mitton

David Mitton was a producer and a Director as well as an experienced model maker. He was well known for directing and producing the children's television shows TUGS in 1988/9 until 1991, Salty's Lighthouse Tugs' American series and Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends from 1984-2003/4. He also worked with Gerry and Sylvia Anderson on puppets in Thunderbirds (TV series). Mitton has been working on Thomas and TUGS all the time. He first had his own company Clearwater Features (1986) Ltd with Robert D. Cardona and later became part of The Britt Allcroft Company in 1991, Sunbow Productions in 1998 and HIT Entertainment in 2002. He even retired after the last episode of the Seventh Season of Thomas the Tank Engine.
