[edit] About David
David arrived in the Dales late 2006 and immediately turned the ladies' heads, with the intention to confront his father, Eric Pollard, who didn’t even know of his existence.
Before he revealed his identity, he started work at the factory in an attempt to find out more about his estranged father. He also striked up a flirty friendship with fun-loving Del and hoped some romance may come from of it. David was soon left disappinted when Del mistakenly thought her uncle Zak was his mystery relative and distanced herself. The truth soon came out, and it was revealed that local businessman Eric Pollard was in fact the father of David, a statement which left Eric stunned.
Their relationship started rough when Eric accused David's late mother of having loose morals, resulting in David assaulting him. However, Eric was determined to prove that David wasn't telling the truth, and conducted a secret DNA test (not realising he'd bungled it), which returned results stating that David wasn't his son. A further test carried out by David later confirmed that Eric was in fact the true biologic father of David.
He has already started to become just as disliked as his father Eric, by evicting local businessman Rodney Blackstock from a barn which he had been renting from Eric.
