David Mattia

David D. Mattia (1963- ) Racehorse Trainer and Sportswriter who works primarily in the harness racing industry. Born in New Jersey, Mattia became a member of the [United States Trotting Association [1]] in 1986 after purchasing a standardbred at an Ohio auction. While that horse's career ventured into obscurity, Mattia's career did not.

More recently Mattia has worked as a "go-to" guy for many of the harness racing industry's inner sanctum of horse owners, and as a writer for various horse racing publications. His works have appeared in such prestigious publications as The Canadian Sportsman[2] and The United States Trotting Association[3]]
