David Ling

David Ling (born January 9, 1975 in Halifax, Nova Scotia) is a professional ice hockey player who currently plays for HC Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Super League. Last year he played for HC Spartak Moscow.
As of September 2006 he is currently leading the league in points. He played 93 games in his NHL career, mostly for the Columbus Blue Jackets. Ling as a junior player played for the Kingston Frontenacs, where he recorded 135 points in 1994-95, winning the Red Tilson Trophy as the MVP for the Ontario Hockey League.
Ling grew up in Charlottetown, PEI. His first competitive hockey came with the Charlottetown Abbies, of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League, at age 15, where he scored an incredible 75 points in just 30 games. His brother, Jamie, was also a professional hockey player. Jamie spent the majority of his career between the East Coast Hockey League & the International Hockey League, and holds the 9th spot in all-time assists in an ECHL career.
