David Liffiton is an ice hockey player, born November 18, 1984 in Windsor, Ontario. His rights are currently owned by the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League. He is 6'1, weighs 200 lbs and plays defense.

He began his career in the 2001-2002 season on the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League, with whom he played the next three seasons. He was drafted 63rd overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche. The next year he was traded to the New York Rangers and began his professional career in the 2004-2005 season, splitting time with the Rangers two farm teams, the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League, and the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL. In the 2005-2006 season he continued to play with Hartford, but also got to play in his first NHL game with the Rangers, registering no points and 2 penalty minutes. This season he is continuing to play on the Wolf Pack. He has been known for his stay-at-home defensive style and physical play on every team he has played for.
