David L. Wolper

David Lloyd Wolper (b. January 11, 1928 in New York City, New York) is one of the most successful and influential producers in the entertainment industry, both in movies and, mostly, television, responsible for shows such as Roots, The Thorn Birds, North & South, L.A. Confidential, and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
For his work on television, he had received his own "Star" on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
