David Kuo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

David Kuo is an author and former Special Assistant to President George W. Bush and Deputy Director of the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. Kuo's book Tempting Faith is a political and spiritual memoir of his time in Washington working with the so-called "religious right". However, it received attention primarily because of his assertion that President Bush's "compassionate conservative" promises were never fulfilled and used for primarily political purposes. He also claimed that the Bush administration used Christian voters while simultaneously ridiculing Christian political leaders.

He was formerly Managing Director of Strategic Communications at Ralph Reed's Century Strategies and senior vice president of communications at Value America.com, and has also worked for the CIA. [1]

He lives with his wife Kim and three children in Virginia.

He recently appeared on the Colbert Report and Real Time with Bill Maher to discuss his new book.
