David Kirsh

David Kirsh is a researcher in the area of Cognitive Science. He is currently a Professor and Department Chair at UC San Diego, where he heads the Interactive Cognition Lab. He received his BA from the University of Toronto and his PhD from Oxford University. Prior to arriving at UCSD, he spent 5 years as a research scientist at the Artificial Intelligence Lab at MIT.
His research interests include interactive design, collaborative environments, cognitive aspects of multimedia design, information architecture, attention management and human computer interaction.
