David E. Yoder

David E. Yoder (born October 13, 1956) is an advocate for Amish victims of child abuse and a former member of ultra-conservative Swartzendruber Amish community. In 1997, he appeared on the news program 20/20 to publicize how difficult it was to get local authorities and Amish church officials to acknowledge or prosecute severe physical abuse committed against his nieces and nephews. He maintains the website www.amishabuse.com to share his own and his family's stories of harassment and physical abuse.
