David Ernest Buffett is the current Chief Minister of Norfolk Island and has held the post since June 2, 2006, succeeding Geoffrey Robert Gardner. He previously held the post of Chief Minister of the territory from 1979 to 1986, and a roughly equivalent title from 1989 to 1992.
