David "Dave" Brammer (born 28 February 1975 in Bromborough) is an English professional footballer currently playing for Millwall.
Brammer started his career at Welsh side Wrexham before moving to Port Vale during the 1998/99 season on transfer deadline day for an initial fee of £350,000. Brammer, whose father was born in Burslem, helped Port Vale to escape relegation from the First Division and was handed the club captaincy for the 1999/2000 season. However, he was unable to prevent Vale from being relegated the following year.
Nonetheless, Brammer remained an important part of the Vale side which won the LDV Vans Trophy in 2001 and in the summer of that year, he made the short journey to Crewe Alexandra, who paid Vale £500,000 for his services on the eve of the 2001/02 football season.
In the summer of 2004, he returned to the Potteries to join Stoke City under freedom of contract.[1] Brammer scored 3 spectular goals in his time at Stoke and was a regular during his 2 and a half seasons at the club.
On 29th January 2007 he signed for Millwall on a free transfer.[2]
