David Bennent

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

David Bennent (Lausanne, Switzerland, September 9, 1966) is a Swiss actor.

His parents are actor Heinz Bennent and former dancer Diane Mansart. His sister Anne is also an actress.

He has lived in Germany and France as well as Switzerland and speaks fluent French.

When he was 11 he starred in The Tin Drum, which caused much controversy due to the fact that David was shown in sex scenes with an adult.

When David was 19 his height was under 5 feet and he and his parents were unsure if he would grow any taller. It appears, however, that David did grow as he is now listed at 5 feet 9 inches.

Even though he is in very few featured films, David is far from a struggling actor. One of the most renowned stage actors in Europe, David has appeared in such plays as Peer Gynt (2004), Die Juden (2003), Michael Kramer (2003), and A Midsummer Night Dream (2002).
