David Ault was born on June 9, 1959 in Beaumont, Texas - the last of five children to Pete and Florence Genevieve Ault. After being educated in the Beaumont School System, Ault left to attend Oral Roberts University. He graduated in 1981 with a degree in telecommunications/journalism and he was the senior editor of the university's yearbook, The Perihelion. It was a love of music and acting that prompted David to move to New York City upon graduating. There he studied and auditioned continually, finding work in soap operas, modeling and a large number of bus and truck and Broadway tour shows.

David relocated to Los Angeles in 1985 finding continuing work in the acting profession, winning critics awards on both coast's and dabbling in playwriting. His first produced play, Grinning Piece of Lightning garnered NAACP nominations for best new work as well as acting nominations for its leading lady.

Ault's personal career interests took a decisive turn when he began to study metaphysics. His love of the writings of Emerson, Ernest Holmes and others prompted him to explore a ministerial degree through Religious Science International. Simultaneously, he became a pioneer in the birth of a new musical genre termed Visionary Vocal music and began touring and performing as a member of the three man vocal group Alliance. Going solo in 1989, David continued recording, touring, speaking and lecturing all over the world in what has been termed the New Thought or New Age movement. His latest venture as an author, produced the best-selling book, Where Regret Cannot Find Me.

Ault currently resides in the Mobile, AL area and is the President of his own corporation named Conscious Mile, Inc., a spiritually based company that provides music, literature, sacred site travel opportunities, workshops, counseling and a variety of goods and services based on metaphysical/spiritual principles. He continues to record his music, write, guest speak and facilitate workshops internationally.
