David Arvizu (born April 19, 1988 in Santa Ana, California) is an American soccer forward who currently plays for C.D. Chivas USA of Major League Soccer.

Arvizu spent one year at Foothill High School in Santa Ana, the same high school that produced New York Yankees prospect Philip Hughes and Rice University pitcher Cole St.Clair. In 2004, Arvizu joined U.S. Soccer's under-17 residency program in Bradenton, Florida. Like former Red Bull New York teammate Josmer Altidore, Arvizu played for the United States at the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship. An anticipated talent entering the tournament ([1]), Arvizu started all four U.S. matches in the tournament and was termed a "trump card" in FIFA's evaluation of Group C. [2]

Arvizu signed a Generation Adidas contract with Major League Soccer after the 2006 MLS SuperDraft and was allocated to the MetroStars, which eventually became Red Bull New York, in a February 8 weighted lottery. He has yet to make his MLS debut, in part because he is training with the under-20 national team in preparation for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Without seeing a minute of first-team action for New York, he was traded to Chivas USA in January 2007 for a fourth round supplemental draft pick.
