Dave Schiavone

Dave Schiavone is a Jazz Saxophonist from Buffalo, NY.
Schiavone is well-known in the Buffalo area for the work of his quartet, the Dave Schiavone Quartet. Originally just a collaboration between Schiavone and pianist Joe Brancato, drummer Peggy Scalzo and bassist Buddy Fadale were later added, and this group released a CD entitled "Hidden Treasures." Following the release of this album, the quartet gained widespread radio play throughout western New York and Ontario.
Schiavone has also performed extensively across the United States and across the world with artists such as Woody Herman, Tommy Dorsey, Doc Severinsen, Nancy Wilson, Natalie Cole, Harry Connick Jr., and Johnny Mathis.
Schiavone is an active saxophone and jazz instructor in the Buffalo area. He teaches saxophone and directs jazz ensembles at the University at Buffalo, Buffalo State College, Canisius College, and Villa Maria College.
