Dave Lucas (born October 29) is an American broadcast journalist, news anchor and talk show host, with 22 years of broadcasting experience. Lucas is best known for the 1999 series of internet radio broadcasts surrounding the Jon Benet Ramsey[1] murder case.
Lucas was born in Albany, New York. He attended the University of New York at Albany and holds a degree in broadcast journalism. He served as program director at WABY Albany in 1980 and 1981, leading the station into uncharted territory as "Christian Rock" radio. Dave joined the local CNN radio affiliate WWCN in 1983 and quickly ascended to evening talk show host. Dave was among the first talk-show hosts in the nation to use bits of contemporary hit music selections as "bumpers" and he is credited with bringing Paul Vandenburgh and Dr. Joe Parisi to Capital Region airwaves.
Dave has earned a cult-like adoration among radio listeners. It was Paul Vandenburgh who gave Dave the nickname "The Radio Terrorist."
