From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dave Joyal (b. circa 1983) is the current drummer for post-hardcore band Silent Drive. He was born in Burlington, Vermont and received his first set of drums at the age of 13. He was also an avid collector of flags, and had a flag pole isntalled in his front yard as a young man. Dave joined Burlington-based hardcore band, Drowningman, when he was barely 17 years old. Drowningman broke up in mid 2002. After his short stint with them, he ended up joining Silent Drive in late 2003.
Silent Drive is a post-hardcore band from Worcester, Massachusetts. The band was formed from members of Ink Cartridge Funeral, Bane, Dasai, and Drowningman. The band is signed to Equal Vision Records.
Update: Silent Drive will enter the studio in early-June, 2007 to record their next album. Recording will take place at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, CO with Bill Stevenson (Descendents) at the helm. The effort should be available this fall.
