[edit] Biography

Born David James Cheeseman on 24th June, 1978 in Hull, England, David started playing the keyboard after being inspired by Guns N' Roses' live video of "November Rain" in which front man Axl Rose can be seen enthusiastically engaging a huge stadium crowd while seated behind a piano.

Van Halen and later Dream Theater became the focus of his musical fixations and provided inspiration for his pursuit of keyboard playing perfection, despite the latter of the two bands being in David's words "Unbearably tedious at times".

Dave played keyboards in York heavy metal outfit Beyond Redemption, with Gideon Letch, Mark Burnett and Evil Clive Jevons, achieving success on the local and underground international metal scene. The band were also notorious for their stage show which inevitably involved band members stripping to the waist in scenes reminiscent of a Manowar video.

Later on, Dave founded Pillow Talk with James Jirgens, Gideon Letch and Mark Burnett. The band's shambolic comedy rock caught the attention of Chris Dale of Sack Trick, who fingered Dave for his own rock outfit.

In the meantime Dave played drums for several Nottingham based Indie Bands including underground folk rockers Heroic Trio. He also plays bass guitar in a tribute band, Beyond Comprehension. People have commented that it is strange that Dave should play in a tribute to his own band, but Dave has said that it only adds to his Underground credentials.

Dave also strikes the ivories for Twin Zero, a Reuben Gotto rock project based in London.

Cheeseman is also an avid Hull City supporter and is regularly seen at the KC stadium in his seat next to Uriah Heep bass player Trevor Bolder.
