Established in 1988 Datta Meghe College of Engineering (DMCE) is one of the reputed institutions in Navi Mumbai under the umbrella of Nagar Yuwak Shikshan Santhas, Airoli. The tremendous growth of the college within a span of 16 years depicts the sincerity and hardship of the management and the staff. The institute is spread over a large area with laboratories and lecture wing. The institute is bifurcated into two blocks, the classrooms block and the administrative cum laboratory block.
Initially we started with nominal intake of 120 students, today we have an intake of 510 students each year.
With the struggle and hard work of the students, the enthusiastic guidance from the teachers and the blessings of the management, today we have several students appearing in the merit list and more than 68 students name appearing in the distinction list of Mumbai University.
We also encourage our students in interacting with the industry, by attending expert lectures, field/industrial visits, etc. We also have departmental associations for the students.
Our faculty members are also representing on national bodies such as Bureau of Indian Standards, Indian Society of Technical Education, etc. At the University level our faculty has made their presence felt in Senate, Board of studies of several departments, etc.
We have fully equipped laboratories in all the departments. To support the knowledge needs of the students, we have fully computerized library with more than 25000 books, 300 or more international journals and e-journals and several national journals.
For the placement of the students at the end of their graduation programme, we have a strong placement cell and we have several reputed firms of all the disciplines who visit our campus.
Located in a serene atmosphere, Datta Meghe College of Engineering, added corroboration to Nagar Yuwak Shikshan Sanstha from the day it existed.
Datta Meghe college of Engineering situated in Airoli, a fast developing node of CIDCO in Navi Mumbai, on Thane – Belapur Road, an offshoot on National Highway connecting Thane with NH-4.
The institute is located at distance of 5 kms, 8kms and 12 kms from Mulund, Thane and Vashi Railway stations respectively. It is well connected by various BEST routes , to name a few 100, 501, 512, 513, 521 and 523 connecting with NMMT routes connecting entire Navi Mumbai as well as Thane railway station.
