Datasektionen (the section of computer engineering) is a section of the Students Association of Engineering (Teknologkåren[1]) at Luleå University of Technology. It was founded in 1984.

Datasektionen is responsible for the academic programmes of

  • MSc in computer engineering
  • BSc in computer engineering
  • Preparatory programme in computer science and engineering for women
  • MSc in electrical engineering
  • MSc in media engineering
  • MSc in engineering physics
  • MSc in space engineering
  • Arena lifestyle, health and technology
  • Arena teaching
  • Arena music, media and technology
  • Arena space

Their foremost mission is assuring the educational quality, as well as fostering good relationsships both between students and between students and non-students. The board consists of ten students who work for free, elected in May each year.
