Datamorphosis

Datamorphosis is a contraction of 'data' and 'metamorphosis'. It can be thought of as having at least three meanings. Apart from being the name of a consulting and training firm, and the name of a datapath generator for VLSI circuits, it can also be used to refer to any complex, multi-step, non-transparent transformation of (research) data into supposedly meaningful conclusions.
