DataPower

DataPower is a product division within IBM that produces XML appliances for processing XML messages. DataPower was the first company that created network devices to perform XML processing, integrated application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) designed to accelerate XML processing into products, and implement a broad XML-aware & application-oriented networking strategy.

DataPower was recognized early as an innovator in XML processing. XML messaging is now considered a critical element to Service-oriented architecture (SOA).
