[edit] Dasith

A tag has been placed on Dasith, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Onorem 07:57, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Spam

A tag has been placed on FutureSinhala, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. science4sail talkcon 18:52, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

The reason I tagged your article for deletion is that they sound too much like advertisements. The next time you make an article, try putting {{advert}} on the top to tell other users that it is not shameless self-promotion, but is instead a work in progress. Basically, I think that you should make your article less promotional and more NPOV. --science4sail talkcon 19:10, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm storing a copy on your user subpage for safekeeping --science4sail talkcon 19:21, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Any edits I make to the thing will be there. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Science4sail (talkcontribs) 19:23, 7 January 2007 (UTC).

You can sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. if you let me have the title of your article, I'll check why I deleted, and either review or explain. Jimfbleak.talk.20:12, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

I've removed the poem on your userpage. Material on Wikipedia must be released under GFDL. It is not a platform for displaying material you wish to retain as your copyright. Jimfbleak.talk.20:19, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
"This page may not be published elsewhere without permission of Native Innovation (Pvt) Ltd. http://www.nativeinnovation.com" so must be deleted since not released under GFDL licence. Sorry, Jimfbleak.talk.20:22, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
OK, that line must go, it has to be under GFDL licence. I'm going off-line soon too, so any further deletions won't be by me. Jimfbleak.talk.20:30, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
I've been through the article formatting and making it less spammy. It's already tagged, but as I said, I'll leave it to others to decide this time. Jimfbleak.talk.07:26, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your edits

I saw your vote at the state terrorism deletion, but let me tell you you are first Sinhalese in wikipedia who has used the words let's compromise. Please continue this attitude we really need Sri Lankan's who can compromise on Wikipedia. You will see me creating lot's of articles about massacres and murders but don’t for a minute think I support terrorism. It is abhorrent. Hope to work with you in the futureRaveenS 14:03, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Sinhala Text Box.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Sinhala Text Box.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
