Two baronetcies have been granted to the Dashwood family. The first, in the Baronetage of England, was granted on 16 September 1684 to Robert Dashwood, later a Member of Parliament.

The second was granted on 28 June 1707 to Francis Dashwood, and is the Premier Baronetcy in the Baronetage of Great Britain. The most famous of these was Francis Dashwood, 15th Baron le Despencer, the second baronet, founder of the Hellfire Club.
