Dashitai

Dashitai is a Honduran reggaeton producer, songwriter, and artist. He was born January 5, 1982 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston where he focused on audio production and sound recording arts. "Dashi" (as he is sometimes known) has worked with several known artists and producers in reggaeton and other genres such as rock, hip hop, and R&B.

Dashitai first became known in 2002 as a reggaeton producer and songwriter working with DJ Sy with whom he co-produced and recorded the albums “Doggystyle Sexx” and “El Mensajero.” These productions took the Honduran artist to the top of the charts with songs such as “El Misterio” and “Ay Amor”.

In 2004 Dashitai collaborated alongside well-known Puerto Rican producer DJ Blass on his album “Lagrimas y Risas” with the song “La Rola Nueva”. Following that, the Puerto Rican rapper Alberto Stylee participated on the remix of Dashitai’s popular song “Me Gusta el Pari”.

In 2006 Dashi returns with the highly anticipated album “Area 504” (the area code of Honduras) where Dashitai makes his debut as solo artist. His new production recorded in M.O.B. Studios in Honduras contains 17 tracks including radio hits “Me Gusta el Pari”, “Me Provocas” and “Mi Camello” and stellar performances by artists such as DJ SY, Allan V, Chapa, Josh di Brasco, Sherry & Sheila and Javi Queso.

Dashitai’s influences, which include reggaeton mixed with hip hop and Electronic beats, has caused him to receive acclaim in cities in Honduras, Central America and the United States.

Dashitai is currently promoting his album “Area 504” and producing a “reggaeton remix” for latin singer/songwriter Estefano, which will soon be playing in clubs and radio stations all across the U.S. Dashi is also organizing a tour for the summer of 2006.
