[edit] Re:India/ England related articles
Hi Darrendeng, We have lots of articles on both India and England and lots to do in them.
I am myself a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject India. You are welcome to join us there. We have many activities going related to India. There is also a similar project related to England. That should be of interest to you.
Let me know if you are looking for more specific answers. I will be glad to help. — Lost(talk) 08:25, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] SmackBot
Is my account for making mass edits. Primarily I use WP:AWB. At the moment it is going through a backlog of articles labelled as "unreferenced" ({{:tl:unreferenced}} and dating the tags so that ediotrs hav some idea of how log they have been tagged for. This focusses effort on the older tagged articles and helps generate a sense of acheivement. We already do the same with a lot of other tags like "cleanup" and "wikify". [edit] Edit to Home
I see you added the following quote to the list of "popular sayings" in the article on Home, "Home away from home". Now, yes, that is something that is said all the time, but take a look at the other entries in the list. They are all about home, they are all efforts to define what home is, and how one's home is different from one's house, how people feel about home, etc. "Home away from home" just doesn't fit there. The list is not supposed to be a complete list of quotes that use the word "home". It's not supposed to be indescriminate. I've had to prune it several times because people keep adding random quotes, and I try hard to keep it limited to quotes that actually serve to clarify the subject of the article. I have not yet removed, "home away from home" because I would like your input to explain why you feel it adds to the section. Why do you think it should be there? ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs) 17:10, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Yikes! don't be a spammer
Hi -- you've added enough commercial links to articles to set off the radar at WikiProject Spam. Links like those to conexmetals.com just aren't allowed. See these key Wikipedia policies and guidelines:
- ”Wikipedia:Conflict of interest” — this guideline says in a nutshell not to write about yourself or your company; also don’t link to your own site.
- ”External links” — in particular see:
- ”What Wikipedia is not” — in particular, see:
- ”Wikipedia is not a soapbox” for advertising or self-promotion
- ”Spam” — especially the sections:
Normally when we see this many links, we get pretty annoyed because we're dealing with a drive-by professional spammer with no other interest in the project. Clearly in your case, though, you've been adding some good content here and we appreciate your work -- just, please, no more of these links.
Thanks! --A. B. 01:09, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
